When I first got the “box” wrap in leaf, i thought it was opium or some sort… hahaha but the fact is a box of tea.
Demonstration at Masjid Tanah,Melaka 20/12/2008â€
Saw this forward mail from my friend, a demonstration was held at one of the Melaka Mosque. This is something that you might not have seen in the News but this is real Malaysia life. Everyday non Malay are being treated like 2nd class citizen by the govt. policy etc, instead of having demo like this, they (Malays) should work hard for better living not milking the non Malay.
Happy New Year 2009
How did u celebrate your new year?
Mine was like hanging out with colleague, eating steamboat. We ate pumpkin porridge, mihun, fried chicken, meat balls. Before we go watch fireworks, we get our self baskin robbins. After steamboat, enjoying 1 pint of baskin robbins chocolate & vanilla ice cream is damn shiok. 3rd round we have Starbucks, to chill out and wait for fireworks display.
Finally the time is near 12am… fireworks is all over KLCC, KL tower. Nice…
Under LHDN Investigation
My mom brought me a LHDN letter from hometown today which was dated 18/06/2008. A request by LHDN asking me to furnish proof of original copies of pay slips, computer purchase, life insurance, KWSP etc.
This govt agency is really damn efficient when it comes to collecting taxes from us. I guess no other govt agency is much efficient than them… I am guessing that this investing gation is not just any random selection, but is because of my tax rebate of RM57 when I bought my laptop. Both tax rebate & proof submission letter both dated the same day.
It’s been more than 30 days from the dead line for proof submission. I wonder what will happen? Since myself is not in Malaysia, I guess I can only furnish them with proof during CNY.
You might think i was randomly picked by computer to check… which i seriously doubt. If you compare both tax rebate & proof submission letter. The proof submission letter was issued on the same date as computerized tax rebate letter, some more the proof submission letter have a lot of errors eg, wrong name, wrong address etc
Sardine Train
It’s been few years now since I last took the Malaysia Putra LRT (now known as RapidKL). My first day at rush hour, is OMFG… there are so much passenger that they are cramp like sardine in a metal tube.
The situation is so terrible that after my wangsa maju station that only 1 or 2 passengers from next station will be able to board the train. If no 1 disembark from the train, then those at next station will need to wait for the next train.
Since the launch of the train service there have been no expansion of the carriage, how is it possible for train with 6 doors to move 190k++ of commuters a day (exceeding capacity by 40% http://www.cleanairnet.org/caiasia/1412/article-70259.html) . Unlike Singapore MRT train, they have 24 doors at each side & some more the train is damn spacious. One thing good about Malaysia sardine LRT, toufu eater will have great opportunity there without the worries… wahahaha
Christmas Potluck 2008
It’s christmas time, where people will gather around to have dinner with family & frens. Since I am not with family at the moment therefore my frens is the closest thing i have now.
On that peaceful night, we have potluck at one of my frens place. It’s quite a long nite actually, we have food, drinks, beer, cake… As normal gathering, we indeed play some card games to finish up the beers.
My First Blood Donation Experience
All I can say is extremely awful…
First the nurse stick the needle on my left hand but since my vein is kinda small therefore the blood come out slow and after a while there is no more blood…
She gave another try on my right hand, and this time the blood come out slow too but didn’t stop…During the process she even stick the whole needle under my skin… damn painful.
Malaysia Taxi Vs Singapore Taxi
It’s been a while since my last post. Came back to Malaysia working as part time programmer with my ex company.
Life is kinda boring especially after more than a month not working… Still not use to waking up at 7am as I always wake up at 10am to 11am.
Now living with my friend at Kuchai Lama and the public transport really sucks big time… especially the taxi. Unlike Singapore taxi, the taxi driver will take you to any place you want and they wont tout for extra money. But in Malaysia, first you need to check with the driver whether they will go to your destination and some will even ask you for extra fare giving you all sort of crappy excuses.
Just few days started working and already start feeling this kinda shitty transportation.
Singapore Tour
My friends all the way from KL took the Aeroline bus express to Singapore. She told me that return ticket cost around RM160, with meal provided.
During their visits, bring them to merlion park, duck tours, singapore flyer, china town, clark quay, bugis…
The Singapore flyer is just so amazing, you can see the lights of singapore Island, it’s like the world is under your feet…

CPU Heat Sink
Bought a new heat sink Cooler Master Hyper TX2 (cost SGD39) for my aging computer “Pentium D”, but the job of installing of the heat sink is really one tough nut to crack.
Spend more than an hour to install it because of the unstrategic design of the legs (underneath the fan) and have to make sure that all the legs are properly secured…
