Singapore Tour

My friends all the way from KL took the Aeroline bus express to Singapore. She told me that return ticket cost around RM160, with meal provided.

During their visits, bring them to merlion park, duck tours, singapore flyer, china town, clark quay, bugis…

The Singapore flyer is just so amazing, you can see the lights of singapore Island, it’s like the world is under your feet…

Unattended Trolley Bag (Bomb Alert)

Saw a medium size trolley bag left unattended in front of Attorney General (Criminal Justice Division) office, the first thing that come into my mind…bag full of C4? Since my office is near to high risk area such as AG therefore it’s not good if some left a bag unattended and if the bag goes off then I’ll be damn…

Immediately I rang up the building management, i guess security personnel came & remove the bag as the bag was gone when I return from a walk…

Picture of the bag taken from my office door

Flea Fogger

Took a ride to Choa Chu Kang MRT today, coz looking for flea fogger for my bro. Before going to MRT i did my research on the internet with some people saying the fogger is available at farmart. Upon reaching farmart, one of the pet shop owner told me that they don’t have the fogger but I can look for it at the shopping complex near the CCK MRT.

Back to the shopping complex “Lot 1”, i manage to found the fogger at Pet Lovers Centre Pte Ltd located at B1 of the complex. The fogger “Professional Pet Products Cycle Block Fogger” cost me S$15.95.

Hopefully the fogger will work… will check with my bro after the “bomb” the room

One thing the farmart place is really sucks nothing much to do or see there unless you are looking for gardening products

Singapore Permanent Resident Part 2

Today attend my 12PM appointment at ICA for Completion of PR formalities.
Reach ICA arround 11.40AM, get my queue ticket then wait for my appointment… but what I didnt know that even though I have make an appointment already, those on appointment still need to wait for their turns…
So i waited around an hour for my turn, then wait for another 1 hr plus to get my IC done (thumb print etc), another 1/2 hr to wait & collect my passort back.

So the total wait time is about 4hr… which is tiring and hungry as I only took mee goreng as my breakfast and no lunch…

Finally i now singapore PR, now i can start look for job that give better pay… hehehe

Steamboat Buffet

Went out with 2 of my friends, initially want to go steamboat at marina bay but those shops are closed due to constructions. At the end went to bugis for steamboat but since we arrive there around 7pm therefore the place is pack with people but luckily we are able to find a place to sit & order.

Well there are variety of food to choose from but not as much as other places, we have mutton, beef, pork, prawn, fish, squid, fish ball, vegetables, crabs etc. For the 1st round, we have tom yam & pak kut teh soup & put in crabs, prawn, squids but the crabs are not fresh because the crab meat feels kind of powdery after chewing. One of my friend parent are fish monger therefore is easy for him to let us know whether the seafood is fresh or not.

Well we are enjoying our dinner there with food & looking at many beautiful girls walking pass buy & taking food from the server. Whao! Those petite girls can really eat, as they took lots of food on their plates & bring back to their table… I wonder since they can eat so much… why they still so slim? My other friends also took a lot of processed food, which I wonder why? Since we can get those processed food anywhere.
But one thing about this shop is that they replenish the fried rice & fruits very slow and also when we ask them to add more soup for the 4th time… they are taking their own sweet time seems like want us to fast pay our bill & go.

Overall, the food is average, choice is limited, slow in replenish the food, SGD 18 per head which I think is kind of expensive, slow in service especially after you have asking for 4th round etc.

Singapore Permanent Resident

Call up Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority this morning to check on my PR application and it’s a great news to me as they already approved my PR application. Now I just need to wait for a letter to go collect my PR IC…

Yeah!!!

Updated!
Reach home, my landlord pass me the letter from ICA… the invitation letter to become PR.

Cooking Oil & Mechanical Oil

Any1 know the difference between those 2 oil above?

Yesterday nite, bring home a bottle of of mechanical oil to loosen up the table fan (fan belong to landlord) gears & ball bearing as the fan sometime unable to turn. After open up the fan, unscrew, apply the oil, screw back the fan is working again… but got my hand oily & dirty.

The reason, i have to fix the fan myself is because the other day when i ask my landlord to fix the fan. He apply cooking oil on the fan instead of mechanical oil and I was like speechless after seeing that hahahaha…

I guess you will learn to fix things when you have no money to send for repair…

Jaywalking

From wikipedia

Jaywalking is a term used to describe when a pedestrian crosses the street outside designated crossing areas. In common North American use, the term generally refers to someone crossing a major street outside a designated crosswalk or intersection in jurisdictions where this is illegal.

Yesterday 13 Aug 2008, I saw 2 uniform policewoman standing on each side of the road issuing ticket for those pedestrian that jaywalk. Most Malaysian like me, like to jaywalk as most of the time pedestrian light doesn’t work on Malaysian road. When come to Singapore, people that like to jaywalk need to take care as it’s an offence to jaywalk.

For those who caught by police officer for jaywalking prepare to pay the fine. First offenses may go for up to SGD 500, as well as up to three months in jail. Repeat offenders may receive a SGD 2000 fine, and up to five to six months imprisonment.

Landlord

Nowadays not easy to find a good landlord as some might skin you alive on the rent etc or some might impose strict house rules.

Still remember when I was looking for room in Singapore, went to few chinese houses but the landlord /landlady are kinda fussy type & with tons of house rules example 1 laundry per week etc. Finally decided to give it a try on indian landlord, everything turn out to be fine… less house rules etc. hahaha

Yesterday 05 August 2008 was my landlord 7th wedding anniversary, congratulation to them. They spend me a piece a cake & pizza too… not bad…

Earlier like May or June this year was the landlady birthday, they spend me a piece of cake & pizza too… Seems to me they like pizza alot.

Sometime when they cook their lunch, they also will spend me lunch too… nice curry & indian food.

Just wanna say thanks here…
