May I ask what happens after you filed Ingkar Award? I’m interested to know the next steps. If you could share with me the process after, it would be much appreciated.
after you filed ingkar award, tribunal will register the judgement with civil court then tribunal will sent you a copy of the ingkar award together with case number registered at civil court. There are 2 options on how you can proceed.
1. hire your own lawyer at own cost to get obtain order of committal from civil court if the defendant continue to ingkar the tribunal judgement.
2. give a copy of the ingkar award to commissioner of buildings (COB) at your local council and hope they will take action. COB have the power to prosecute but whether they slow or fast acting on it is another story.
Bro Kun, let’s say we decided to proceed with Step 1 – Committal Proceeding, what’s the consequences if defendant continue ingkar Award?
How long is the procedure to get register the Award at Civil Court?
hi, once you file the ingkar award with tribunal it will take about 3 month for the tribunal to register your award with civil court. The civil court have the power to fine / jail the defendant if defendant refused to comply with the award.
